Saeed Anwar scores 194--highest score in one day in Chennai

Saeed Anwar broke the previous record for the highest innings in one-day internationals by scoring 194 runs in Chennai in independence cup in 1997. He scored 194 in 146 balls with 22 fours and 5 sixes . Pakistan scored 327 runs and beat India by 35 runs to enter the final.

V V S Laxman 281 against Australia at Eden Gardens ,Kolkata--Video

VVS Lakshman's 281 in Calcutta Eden Gardens, after India had followed on against Australia, must go down as one of the most destructive innings ever, and triggered an improbable series win.During his innings, He devastated the Aussie bowlers and made magnificent 281 breaking Sunil Gavaskar's long standing record of 236 not out.He hit 44 magnificent fours in his innings.
